Good Afternoon MOSTA Families, Thursday, October 31, 2024 our school will be participating in character day. Students are allowed to dress in costumes to represent their favorite characters from books and movies. Students may also dress up as their favorite super hero. We ask that all costumes are school appropriate this includes no bloody mask or makeup, and most importantly no weapons will be allowed. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Our art students wrapped up Hispanic Heritage Month this week by displaying their incredible Hispanic Icons posters.
On Wednesday, Ms. Moore hosted her "Two Minute Math Masters Competition". Students had two minutes to complete 100 multiplication problems. Congratulations to our top three! Victoria Ajibade, Samantha Phillips, and Princess Jehan!

Today, Ms. Moore hosted a Math Facts Showdown with her top 6 Math Facts Champions. Kaniya Story, Makayla Poole, Shariya Woods, Kaileb Trudo, Maurice Paul, and Timothy Mosley competed to be crowned champion! Mr. Lee even joined in on the fun. Makayla Poole was the ultimate winner, with Mr. Lee coming in second! Great job to all!

Hello, this is a reminder from School District 163 that Tuesday, September 10, 2024, is an early dismissal day. Students will be served lunch and will dismissed at 12:30 pm. Pre-Kindergarten will be dismissed at 10:45 am and there will be no afternoon classes. All buses will depart at 12:30 pm.
Today, Ms. Deeringer's students learned a powerful lesson about how impactful our words can be. Just like emptying out a tube of toothpaste, once its done, words can't be taken back!
Mrs. McKinney's 8th grade scientists are testing their hypotheses about what happens when you soak gummy bears in different types of liquids. They gained hands on experience with measuring, and finding the volume and density of different objects! We can't wait to see the results!
