At the July 27, 2020 Board of Education Meeting the Board voted to reopen schools for the 2020-21 school year through the remote learning model. All students in grades pre-kindergarten through 8 will attend school virtually. Teachers will facilitate lessons digitally and students will also engage in blended learning programs. Each day will include five hours of instruction. Please review the 2020-21 Reopening Plan for Parents in our Reopening Schools section of our website. Please use the information in this guide to prepare for returning to school through a virtual e-Learning environment for the first quarter of the school year through October, 2020. The health and safety of our school community is important to us. We will continue to monitor the guidelines the Illinois State Board of Education provides and guidance from Governor Pritzker as he provides leadership for Illinois. If you have questions about the attached e-Learning Plan, please email FAQ163@sd163.com.
We are looking forward to the 2020-21 school year and the reopening of our schools. Our priorities continue to focus on excellence in education, equity in services, and engagement in meaningful teaching and learning experiences. Thank you for your partnership!
