Dear MOSTA parents,
This letter is to inform you that while participating in the Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Program, students were given the opportunity to try fresh kiwi and a few of the students experienced a mild reaction to eating the skin of the kiwi. Each child was evaluated prior to leaving the school building.
The skin of kiwi fruit contains a natural chemical which can cause irritation in their mouths, lips, and palates quickly after eating one. This is a common moderate response in children and adults.
If your child has ongoing discomfort, please contact your primary care provider for evaluation and testing.

Ageless Eye Care will be coming the week of March 25th to complete vision exams. The will be sent home and the consent form must be received in the Michelle Obama Health Office by March 15th.

Hello, this is a reminder from School District 163 that Tuesday, March 12th, is an early dismissal day. Students will be served lunch and dismissed at 12:30 p.m. Pre-Kindergarten will be dismissed at 10:45 a.m. All bus riders will depart at 12:30 p.m. There will be no afternoon Pre-Kindergarten classes or X-STEAM.
This week Mrs. Psop's 8th grade Science classes acted as archeologists while learning about fossils. They created their own fossils and then excavated them using different types of tools.
