Mrs. Goldfarb's second grade students engaged in an M&M activity that allowed them to ask/answer questions about their classmates and each other, based on the color of the M&M they pulled out of the bag. What a fun way to get to know one another!
Please join us for Mohawk's Open House on Tuesday, September 20th from 6:30-7:30 PM. You will have an opportunity to meet staff members, tour the school, and go into your child's classroom. We hope you are able to pop in!
Mohawk is having a Disney/Superhero-themed celebration on Friday for all of the hard work so many students continued to do over the summer months. Students are encouraged to wear their favorite Disney/Superhero gear as they watch a movie and enjoy a treat with their friends in the gym.
What a fun day at Mohawk! Students engaged with "Boomwhackers" in Music class, talked with partners about what they like about school, and participated in various activities throughout the classrooms.
Ms. Wilson's second grade students shared items from home that told others all about them, their interests, and their talents. Students were able to share in a creative and unique way.
We look forward to welcoming students to Mohawk for the 2022-2023 school year on Monday, August 22, 2022. Please note that there is a 9:25 AM late start for all students the first week of school (August 22-26, 2022). Teachers will meet students outside at 9:00 AM on the first day of school; and doors will open for breakfast at 9:00 AM the rest of the week.

Mohawk's third graders had an awesome dance today to celebrate the near-end of their primary school days. These students will be missed tremendously at Mohawk next year, but we wish them the best as they begin a new journey in 4th grade at Barack Obama School.
Mohawk received a visit this week from our future Kindergarten students from Algonquin. We look forward to welcoming them back in August!
Thanks to Michelle Obama School's band and orchestra students for coming over to Mohawk to introduce third grade students to instruments, play a few songs, and ignite interest in hopes of recruiting students for 4th grade.
