Congratulations to the Book Blast winners from Tuesday of this week! We are off to a great start. There is still time to participate in our Book Blast event and give students opportunities to win prizes and earn FREE books!

Congratulations to our Day 1 Book Blast winners! We will announce winners all week long, so please continue to enter 10 (or more) names and email addresses or phone numbers of family/friends in our online Book Blast account...then sit back and watch the FREE BOOKS come in!

The Book Blast voyage to your student’s NEW BOOKS begins today! Please take just 7 minutes to check out the Treasure Map. Simply register for the event and enter the contact info for 10+ people to support your little pirate’s home library. It’s really that easy! After completing those steps, your student will receive ALL 3 rewards and will be entered to win one of four Treasure Chests stuffed with cash and prizes! Also, one lucky winner at Mohawk will win an iPad. Start the voyage to earn all 10 exciting new books on the Treasure Map booklist! Your participation can help other students at Mohawk build their home libraries, too. Go to http://bookblast.booksarefun.com/MohawkPC and unlock your treasure!

Kudos to Mohawk's Staff VIP of the Week: Ms. Woods! She always lends a helping hand with covering bus routes and classes; she goes above and beyond to do anything to help out. She connects with students and builds lasting relationships. Thank you for being part of #TeamMohawk, for going above and beyond each and every day, and for being a true VIP!

Mrs. Nave's third grade students showed how much they have learned about text features in class today with an online game of Jeopardy.

Our voyage starts next week when we’ll cast off in search of Book Blast treasure. Once you receive your child's Treasure Map on Monday, the treasure hunt begins! Be sure to complete it for a chance to win one of 4 Treasure Chests stuffed with cash and even an Apple iPad! But even better, you’ll be starting the journey to earning all 10 books on the Treasure Map book list. Heave ho, let’s go readers!

The last of our fun from yesterday's Character Day celebrations!

Today Ms. Ryan’s class had some fun Halloween centers! They painted pumpkins to look like donuts, pulled pumpkin seeds out of a pumpkin and counted the seeds, and they hit golf tees in a pumpkin.

Thank you for the candy donations, numerous parent volunteers, and the staff at Mohawk for ensuring today was a fun, engaging Character Day for our students. Today would not have been successful without you! #MohawkRising
