Showing up for class matters. Students can’t benefit from investments in high quality instruction and more engaging, rigorous curriculum unless they are in their classroom. As early as the first month of school, chronic absence (missing 10 percent or more of school days) can be an early warning sign of academic trouble, whether a student is in kindergarten or high school. Children who miss too much school in kindergarten and first grade often struggle to read proficiently by the end of third grade. By sixth grade it becomes a key predictor that a student will drop out of high school. #AttendanceWorks. We need our children in school!

Save the date for our upcoming early dismissal!
Hello, this is a reminder from School District 163 that Tuesday, September 10, 2024, is an early dismissal day. Students will be served lunch and will dismissed at 12:30 pm. Pre-Kindergarten will be dismissed at 10:45 am and there will be no afternoon classes. All buses will depart at 12:30 pm.
There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 2, 2024. We will be observing Labor Day. School and District office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
Hello School District 163 Families, Onsite registrations will be held at 21st Century Primary Center on Monday, August 26, 2024 - Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Registration can also be completed online. Please visit our website and select the Register Online link. The process should only take roughly 10 - 15 minutes to complete. You can contact our registration hotline at 708-668-9429 if you have any questions.
