We are so excited to present "Holidays Around the World" to you at Michelle Obama School on Monday, December 16th at 9:15 AM (and/or) 1:15 PM. See you there!

The students at Algonquin are really enjoying their new themed unit: Clothing. Dress-up in the Dramatic Play center is always a fun option for our preschoolers.

Students: Join us for Winter Spirit Week the week of December 16-20, 2019. We look forward to the festive gear as we celebrate the "spirit" of the holiday season the last week of school before winter break. Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Please consider partnering with High Performance Fitness and School District 163 by donating to the Holiday Food Drive which will help the Food Pantry of Rich Township. Donations will be accepted December 9-13, 2019. The flyer is attached.

The students at Algonquin are learning all about the color of the month: GREEN (and how to mix blue and yellow to make green).

How awesome that our students are still working and learning at home over breaks! Pictured here is Mikey, proud to showcase the turkey he created on Thanksgiving Day (as well as his beloved dinosaur). We are proud of you, Mikey, and so happy to have you as part of our Algonquin Family.

Friday's Family Playgroup sessions were a hit! Thank you to all of the families who joined us for Thanksgiving BINGO and making healthy snacks with your child.

Thankful Turkeys

Students had fun riding on tricycles during Gross Motor this week.

Just a reminder that there is no school for students on November 7, 8, and 11. However, we welcome all families to Parent-Teacher Conferences on November 7th from 2:00-5:00 PM & 6:00-8:00 PM as well as on November 8th from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM.

Please join us for our next Family Playgroup on Friday, November 22nd at either 9:30 AM or 1:30 PM. Families will learn about nutrition, make a delicious, healthy snack as a family, and play BINGO. Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Shout out to the Park Forest Police Department for giving away two bikes at Algonquin today. The students were so excited. Thank you! #ParkForestPoliceDepartment

Look out for all of the emojis around Algonquin today! We look forward to seeing various costumes today. Happy Halloween to all families!

Please feel free to join us on Halloween for our school-wide parades at either 10:00 AM or 2:00 PM. Parents: Please send your child(ren) to school in their costumes. We look forward to continuing our spirit week with costumes tomorrow.

Thanks to our Fresh Fruits & Vegetables program, our students were able to sample cantaloupe and red cabbage this week.

Families: You are invited to complete the 5Essentials Survey online. Please stop by Algonquin and use one of our laptops to complete the survey if you do not have access to the Internet. All families who complete the survey will be entered into a raffle. Please see below.
