PreK families, we need YOUR help!
Our January attendance was 84%, and we're reaching for our goal of 95% attendance. We can do this together! 💪
If your child is healthy, please send them to school every day. Here's why it matters:
✨ Learning builds on learning - Missing even one day means missing important skills and experiences
✨ Routines create success - Daily attendance helps build the habits that lead to lifelong achievement
✨ Friends are waiting - Your child's classmates count on them being there
✨ Every moment matters - At this age, each day is packed with critical social, emotional, and academic growth
Coming to school is one of the most important habits we can build together!
Let's make February amazing! Can we reach 95%? With your support, absolutely! 🌟
Questions about attendance? Reach out to our office anytime. We're here to help!

Can you believe it? We are almost 100 days smarter!
To celebrate our 100th Day of School on Tuesday, February 3rd, we’re inviting all our preschool littles to come to school dressed like they’ve aged a century.
We want to see those tiny "grandmas" and "grandpas" in their best vintage gear!
💡 Costume Inspiration:
The Hair: A little gray hair spray, a shower cap, or even a mini-bun with some cotton balls.
The Accessories: Non-prescription glasses, a pearl necklace, a flat cap, or a tiny cardigan.
The Props: A child-sized cane or a walker made of PVC pipes (always a hit!).
The Style: Suspenders, high-waisted trousers, or a floral housecoat.
Note: Please ensure costumes are safe for playtime and easy for "potty breaks." We want our little seniors to be comfortable while they celebrate!
We can’t wait to see these adorable transformations. Get ready for a day full of 100-themed fun, snacks, and counting! 🎈

Why is Black History Month important for young children?
Celebrating Black History Month helps children build empathy, appreciate diversity, and understand the world around them. Research suggests that children as young as six months notice physical differences like skin color, making early childhood the perfect time to introduce positive representations of all races.
Building a foundation of inclusion
Teaching children to notice and celebrate differences is a vital part of social-emotional learning. By incorporating an anti-bias curriculum, educators can create a classroom environment where every child feels seen and valued. This involves:
Representing diversity: Using dolls, books, and materials that feature diverse characters.
Inviting conversation: Encouraging questions about differences rather than avoiding them.
Celebrating culture: Exploring music, art, and stories from various backgrounds year-round.

Mathematics concepts are being reinforced through number and counting exercises integrated into center activities.
Documentation practices are strong, with staff recording student language during drawing activities to support vocabulary development.
Classrooms and Hallways feature three-dimensional projects using diverse open-ended materials that encourage creativity and fine motor development.
Pre-reading instruction continues during center time, with teachers providing individual and small group literacy support.
Staff demonstrate skill in helping students navigate emotional regulation and provide appropriate guidance during challenging moments.
Geometric and color recognition activities are naturally embedded in play-based learning experiences, allowing students to explore these concepts in meaningful contexts.
