
In honor of Algonquin's new "Water Life" unit that began this week, Mrs. Rowland's class learned about ponds and frogs...and then created frogs today. Excellent job, friends!



Ms. Davis's students learned that swans have 25,000 feathers, eat plants, insects, and tadpoles, and can fly up to 60 miles per hour! They also learned that baby swans are called signets. They then made swans of their own. Great job, friends!


Mrs. Rowland's students did an excellent job forming letters around ponds! Keep up the great work, friends.



In recognition of this week's letter-of-the week (Vv), Ms. McLaughlin's students engaged in a virtual science experiment involving vinegar, a vase, and ultimately...a volcano! Excellent job, friends!


Ms. Malinis's students had a FUN time celebrating "Dr. Seuss Week." From "I'm not Going to Get Up Today" Pajama Day to "Fox in Socks" Wacky Wednesday to their favorite "What Pet Should I Get" Stuffed Animal Day...they truly engaged in excellence.


Mrs. Rowland's students ended their unit on pets by making "Shape Dogs." Excellent work, friends.


Meet Bubbles, Ms. Davis's new class pet. What an exciting way to end the unit on pets by getting a new class pet and voting on the name. Great job, friends...we hope that Bubbles brings you many smiles.


Ms. Lendi's students did an excellent job practicing writing the letter of the week...and they enjoyed seeing Erick's pet bunny, Chocolate, as they spent their final week learning about pets. Great job, friends!


Today was "Cat in the Hat/Wear Your Favorite Hat" spirit day. Kudos to Ms. Davis's students for a job well done; we love the various hats!

Algonquin is celebrating "Dr. Seuss Week" with Spirit Days each day that go along with a book. Today was "What Pet Should I Get" with a "favorite stuffed animal" spirit day. Thank you to the friends in Mrs. Rowland's class for participating.

Ms. Lendi's students are continuing to work hard on their Pets unit. They have even been able to interact with Ms. Lendi's pet rabbit, Luna, multiple times. Great job, friends!
