Hello Everyone and Congratulations on making it through another year!!!
Graduation practice will be held the morning of graduation on Thursday, May 26th, 9AM-10:45AM. Students will be dismissed at 11AM.
Bussing for 8th Grade Dismissal after Graduation Practice:
There will be three Kickert busses and 1-2 American School buses at Michelle Obama Door 13 at 11:00 a.m. to transport those students wo are eligible to participate in the Commencement Ceremony. Ineligible students are expected to remain at school until 3pm.
Students who are designated as living within walking distance to/from the school will be dismissed to walk. Car riders will be dismissed as usual from door 9 (main entrance). Bus riders will be directed to load the bus assigned to them. Teachers will have a roster of student bus assignments to assist with dismissal. Each Kickert bus will have a sign in the window which indicates the area of Park Forest/Chicago Heights that they are covering:
"Graduates" Bus: Mohawk School, Somonauk St & Shabbona Dr and Blackhawk School
"Diplomas" Bus: Park & J-18, Norwood St & Gibson Rd, Forest Blvd & Fir St, 21st Century, Western Ave & Indianwood Blvd
"Tassels" Bus: Sauk Trail Addresses, Western Ave. @ Birch St. , Algonquin School and Barack Obama School.
Please review bus safety with your child prior to Thursday. It is critical that students follow all bus safety expectations, so that buses do not have to return to the school for student disciplinary action. We appreciate your continued support.
