Governor Pritzker has issued an order to close all Illinois schools Tuesday, March 17th through Monday, March 30th as a result of the current health crisis. As previously communicated, all District 163 schools will be closed Monday, March 16th for cleaning and sanitizing. The School District 163 closure will continue through Monday, March 30th.
To ensure on-going implementation of the educational program our E-Learning activities for all students in grades Pre-K through 8 will begin Wednesday, March 18th. Detailed information will be provided onTuesday, March 17th that will provide guidance for access and communication regarding remote and E-Learning activities with your child's principal and teacher. All activities will be grade specific and standards aligned for instructional continuity.
To ensure that all students’ nutritional needs are being met we will announce designated locations and scheduled times for breakfast and lunch meal pick-ups during the school closure.
We remind you to continue to practice safe habits by washing your hands regularly, covering your mouthwhen you cough or sneeze, cleaning surfaces regularly and avoiding contact with sick individuals. Remember to contact your health care provider if you or your child have symptoms of high fever or respiratory distress.
