Melvin Pumphrey
Melvin Pumphrey, a Chicago Heights resident, was
appointed to the Board in 2005 to fill a vacancy. He was returned to the
Board for a two-year term in the 2007 election. Countless hours of
volunteering at Beacon Hill Primary Center piqued Mr. Pumphrey’s interest
in the Board. A retired businessman, Mr. Pumphrey continues to volunteer
his time in all of the District’s schools while tending to his Board
duties.
All Board members
serve on the Board’s Policy Committee.
